Are both ends crimped for inserting into the ceiling box and the top of the heater or do you have to have adapters on the ends?

This pipe consists of a female end and a slightly smaller male end. There is no crimping, though you may use a tool to accomplish this as needed.

What pipe do I need for a wood stove to run through the existing masonry fireplace?

You can use a single or double-wall black stovepipe (also known as a "chimney connector") to run from the stove into the masonry chimney. You can then get the pipe into the flue inside the chimney, where it should end flush with the inside wall of the flue.

Lengths of single wall stovepipe can simply be cut down with a hacksaw or a circular saw with a carbide-tipped blade.

Correct. This length of stovepipe is only meant to make the connection between a free standing wood stove and a chimney ceiling support or a clay thimble leading into a masonry chimney.

This Product is Great
This product is great if you have to connect two or more pipe sections together. The one pipe fits into the other, slide to up and place the provided screws. I installed in 5 minutes.
