Cave Location

Cave 1: walking entrance between the rocks. Other Cave 1: walking entrance near the Cannibal Village. Third Cave 1: climbing entrance in the hill. You can use this entrance to find katana, and this is why it is also known as katana cave.

Cave 2 (and Hidden Room) - This is the first cave that players will want to explore and depending on good the player is in combat they may have to explore it against their will. This cave has its main entrance in the middle of the main village, so players will be able to access it easily.

Caves usually have an abundance of supplies scattered about (such as cash, coins, flares, sticks, ropes, sodas, dynamite, etc), most of which respawn upon going through any cave entrance.

Timmy's body is later found by his father, Eric, who is emotionally distraught at the sight of his dead son. However, Eric manages to figure out that in order to bring back his son, he needs a sacrifice.

The current map is handcrafted but they've added randomization to most of the items to make up for it. Some common items spawns are random. But they're common, they also have full blown spawns that are always in the same spot where you can max out said item. So it really makes no difference.

Location. The Katana is found in the Dead Cave (Cave 1). It is one of the easiest to obtain items in the game, as it does not require that the player face any cannibals or mutants. To obtain the Katana, enter the easternmost entrance for Cave 1 (located here), which is not too far from the river.

The Hell Cave is located at the bottom of the sinkhole. This can only be accessed by swimming through the small hole in the water (rebreather required). After a long swim the player will resurface in a very large chamber.

The accessible entrance to Cave 7 (squeeze-in) can be found after crossing the northern-most land bridge connecting the peninsula to the mountains. It is the most difficult cave in terms of length, complexity, navigation, and number/types of enemies present.

Cave 3 has two entrances: one on the river-bottom at the west side of the Fertile Lands and one near the dirty white tents across from two cannibal structures nearby. The flare gun, fire weapons, and explosives are great for taking down Megan. If you die, you will respawn in the bed outside. So just keep trying and you will win. If you hit her with an explosive you will knock her down, this is the only time where melee weapons won't get you instantly killed.

What does sanity do? It has been confirmed that Sanity has no effect on the player whatsoever. The developers had plans to incorporate effects, however at this stage it has no effect. The only thing it does is allow the player to build effigies.

Unfortunately, at the time of this article's publication, there is no way to obtain the Katana in Da Hood. This weapon was only available for a limited time and was fully removed in January of 2022. Added with the 2021 Christmas and New Year's update, the Katana could originally be unlocked throughout Dec. 2021.

It is normally not possible to go down without the climbing axe, but if you jump carefully on the walls you should be able to go down without trouble. Then follow the path until you reach the climbing axe area. You can enter the end of Cave 9 from Cave 3 by blowing up a wall with dynamite at the of Cave 3.

It is possible to get out of cave 7 without the climbing axe or rebreather. Just find one of the paths leading out and you'll find your way, you will find a rope with a very long climb which will bring you out at the top of the cliff above the Katana cave.

Cave 5 has two entrances on the south-west of the peninsula, as well an underwater entrance beneath Geese Lake. Please note however, that entering the underwater entrance without the Rebreather will likely lead to death. The player cannot hold their breath long enough to get there even when sprint-swimming.

There are multiple ways to reach the bottom of the sinkhole. To get to the bottom you can: Go through Cave 7, which will open up a pair of sacrificial doors at the bottom of the sinkhole, allowing the player to walk straight in.

Gameplay. The employee Keycard is located in a boarded-up alcove near the end of Cave 6 (also known as the Lawyer Cave). The crafted axe is the slowest of all axes, as well as one of the slowest weapons in the game in terms of speed. However, as the required items are very common, it can be useful to craft this weapon very early in the game. It deals more damage than the Plane Axe, has more knockdown power and a farther reach.
